Who we are
We are a group of women from many different spiritual backgrounds and with many levels of scriptural knowledge. We are united in the joyful common bond of a love for Jesus and His Word.
Our History
In 1985, a small group of women met in Shirley Hotchkiss’ home to study God’s Word and enjoy fellowship. We used workbooks by respected Christian authors to guide us from the scriptures. Shirley led us in discussions. With each passing year we grew until available home spaces could no longer accommodate us.
In 2021 Irving Bible Church invited us to meet in their newly remodeled facility conveniently located in Irving near MacArthur and 635. We look forward to beginning our 36th year in this welcoming new space!
Class Distinctives
We are a warm group of women who care for one another while sharing our common love for the Bible. We come from seventeen different zip codes, dozens of different churches, and countless different backgrounds and experiences.
Each of our studies includes:
- Daily questions in the study guide for individual study followed by weekly discussions at round tables
- Brief time of prayer led by discussion leader
- Challenging lectures (video or live)
- Monthly lunch fellowship gatherings with table group (optional)
Our meeting day begins with singing followed by a table discussion, coffee break, and then a video or live message to explain, illustrate, and enrich the biblical passage.
